Tarr Steps 16" x 60" Canvas Print - Tarr Steps is a prehistoric clapper bridge across the River Barle in the Exmoor National Park, Somerset. A typical clapper bridge construction, the bridge possibly dates to around 1000 BC. The stone slabs weigh up to 5 tons apiece. According to local legend, they were placed by the devil to win a bet. The bridge is 180 feet (55 m) long and has 17 spans.

The images are printed using the latest wide format fine art printers, the inks are guaranteed lightfast for 75 years. The 450gsm canvas used, meets the archival standards set forth by the ‘Fine Art Trade Guild’. The stretcher bars are finger jointed solid pine, from managed UK forests.
Two coats of Museum Grade Giclee Matt Veneer are applied. This soaks into the canvas so is un-noticeable but provides protection from scuffs and moisture. You are then able to wipe the canvas with a slightly damp cloth if required. The veneer also prevents the print from cracking. Framing tape and felt bumpers are added for a quality finish.
Wooden wedges are inserted so the canvas can be re-tensioned in the future if necessary.
